An almost forgotten collection
The Omega factory in Biel is best known for its Seamaster, Speedmaster and Constellation series. The Dynamic was intended to become a collection in its own right, but despite three exciting attempts, this did not work out. Today, each of the Dynamic generations has its very own history and impresses with its retro vibes for vintage lovers.
The First Generation: Face of the 70s
The first Dynamic Automatic was launched in 1965. Today's vintage Dynamic, with its elliptical case and its colour blocking dial, is entirely in keeping with the 70s theme. The first Omega Dynamic was discontinued at the end of the colourful decade.
The Second generation: Swatch style
The second-generation Dynamic was launched in 1984. The design was more lively and battery-powered. Instead of just changing the Omega Dynamic bracelet, it was possible to place the watch case in a ring with an integrated bracelet, making it easy to change the bracelets. After only a few years, the production of the second Omega Dynamic ended, and it was only available as a quartz watch.
The third and most popular Omega Dynamic
The third generation Dynamic was produced from 1997 until the early 2000s. The design of the automatic model is based on the design of pilots' watches produced for the Royal Air Force. In addition to a three-hand version, an Omega Dynamic chronograph was manufactured, which is still the most popular model from the Omega Dynamic series today.
