Polished & multifaceted
In 2014, Breitling granted the wish of esteemed clientele with the introduction of the new Colt series. Breitling equipped the Colt bezel with four rider tabs - an element that revived a famous design feature.
The latest collection displays a wide range of colours: the watch face is available in volcano black, mariner blue, or stratus silver. The bracelet can also be adapted to individual tastes including satin-finished stainless steel, rubber, or a leather strap.
Apart from the noticeable design, the luminous indices of the watch ensure legibility. For safety purposes, the broad, satin-finished bezel is unidirectional. The sapphire crystal is glare-resistant on both sides and the stainless steel case is waterproof to 200 metres.
Those who have a particular liking toward mechanical watches will certainly lean in the direction of the Breitling Automatic (Ref. A1738811). Ticking away in the 44-millimeter case of the watch is the high-frequency automatic movement, Breitling 17, which is certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). Other models of the current Colt line are equipped with the SuperQuartzTM movement, which is known to be one of the best quartz movements available on the market and runs ten times as precisely as a traditional quartz movement.
The Colt Lady (Ref. A7738811) - also called Colt 33 due to the size of its case - appears more petite and has an overall polished case with a satin-finished bezel-surface. The feminine model can be highlighted with a diamond-encrusted bezel. Whether fitted with the quartz or the automatic calibre - the Colt is a comparably inexpensive watch when it comes to the Breitling Aeromarine family and enjoys great popularity with recent Breitling clientele.
