Driven by a shared vision to make the world of luxury watches more accessible, CHRONEXT is creating the next generation luxury watch eco system. The company is led by two founders, Philipp Man and Ludwig Wurlitzer, and an experienced Executive Committee.

Philipp Man, CEO & Co-Founder
In 2013 Philipp Man co-founded CHRONEXT, bringing together his passion for mechanical timepieces, online marketplaces and technology. He and his former flatmate & co-founder Ludwig Wurlitzer's vision was to create a global marketplace, enabling brands, retailers and consumers to buy, sell and own luxury watches in a convenient, engaging and most importantly, guaranteed safe way. Philipp Man is responsible for the strategic direction of CHRONEXT and has been leading the company as CEO since its start. Philipp Man founded a fashion start-up prior to CHRONEXT and worked in consulting and commodities trading before.
Ludwig Wurlitzer, CPO & Co-Founder
Together with his former roommate Philipp Man, Ludwig Wurlitzer founded CHRONEXT in 2013. He attended King's College London, where he developed the idea for CHRONEXT and owns the product vision that makes CHRONEXT better every day. As CPO, Ludwig Wurlitzer’s responsibilities include product strategy and platform development.
Josef Gatzek, CFO
Josef Gatzek has been a member of the CHRONEXT Executive Committee since 2021 and, as CFO, is responsible for the areas of finance, human resources and corporate development. In this role, he already accompanied GetYourGuide on its way to a company valuation of over 1 billion euros. Prior to that, Josef Gatzek was responsible for finance at Audible (Amazon Inc) and Paypal during phases of strong growth.
Emanuel Schleussinger, CTO
Emanuel Schleussinger brings to CHRONEXT more than 20 years of expertise in the e-commerce sector and has been on the board since spring 2019. He was significantly involved in the development of Amazon in Germany. As a trained developer and founder of two companies, he knows all the processes from the ground up. At CHRONEXT, he is responsible for technology and risk management.
