The only stainless steel/platinum Rolex

Available since 1992, the Rolex Yacht-Master is one of the brand's younger models. While an all-gold version of the Yacht-Master was initially launched, the introduction of the model with a stainless steel case in 1999 (Ref. 16622) was a novelty. Never before has the Geneva-based manufacturer produced a watch in a stainless steel/platinum combination. To this day, the material mix known as Rolesium is only used in Rolex Yacht-Master platinum watches. The platinum bezel is one of the characteristic features; it is used in all stainless steel references. Additionally, the earlier models have a silver-coloured platinum dial.

From 29 to 44 millimetres: six case sizes available

After more than 20 years of production, you can buy the Yacht-Master with numerous diameters. Among these, the Rolex Yacht-Master 40 in platinum is the most classic variant although the platinum dial was only installed in the five-digit references produced before 2012. Even the platinum Yacht-Master in 29 and 35 millimetres have since been replaced by a 37-millimetre version.
