High tech meets tradition
Even the very first reference of the GMT Master (Ref. 6542) had a Pepsi bezel and a jubilée band. With the reference 126710BLRO, Rolex continues this decades-old tradition. However, the current Ref. 126710BLRO uses the latest technology:
The watch is made of "Oystersteel" (904L stainless steel). This alloy comes from the company's own Rolex foundry and is used in the aerospace and chemical industries, among others, and is as corrosion-resistant as a precious metal.
The Cerachrom bezel is made of modern ceramic. It is particularly demanding to produce a two-tone bezel. With the new Pepsi-GMT, Rolex has succeeded in this step with perfection.
The delicate Jubilée bracelet of the Ref. 126710BLRO is solid and features an Easylink extension that allows the bracelet to be extended by approximately five millimetres in a few simple steps.
