Authentic pilot's chronograph
The Ref. IW377709 features a chronograph with a 12-hour display, and totalizers located at 6, 9 and 12 o'clock. At 3 o'clock, there is a day-date display typical of the Pilot's Watch chronograph, which shows both the day of the week and the date.
Since the 1930s, the Schaffhausen-based manufacturer IWC has focused on the production of instrumental pilot's watches. The first model appeared in 1936, but the Ref. IW377709 is one of the most popular pilot's watches in the IWC product portfolio. This is partly because chronographs are among the essential complications of authentic pilot's watches. In addition to the chronograph function, the model has numerous features typical of an authentic Pilot's Watch:
Excellent readability thanks to large hands and indices as well as sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides
- Robust, reliable calibre
- Waterproof up to 60 metres
- Inner housing made of soft iron for improved magnetic field resistance
- Red second hand for immediate function control
